Hi all –

Our good friend and alum Eric Casher is hosting a Filipinos for Obama
Event on August 19th. See below for information.

THE KICK-OFF of BAY AREA FILIPINOS FOR OBAMA
Tuesday, August 19, 6-8pm
@ Zebulon Bar & Restaurant, 83 Natoma St (off 2nd St.), San Francisco

Host Committee: Hydra Mendoza, Dexter Ligot-Gordon, Angelica Jongco,
Rafael “Ace” Climaco, Alyson Megur, April Joy Damian, Fred Cabasa,
Genevieve Jopanda, Virg Cristobal, Eric Casher, Stephanie Ong Stillman

How can WE, AS A UNITED FRONT, make a difference in the 2008 election?
We’re bringing together key supporters from the Filipino American, Asian
American, and Obama communities to answer that question.

Help brainstorm ways to empower and mobilize the Filipino community to
bring progress and hope back to our country.

Hear from community leaders. Mingle with other Obama supporters. Sign-up
to volunteer. All are welcome to join the conversation and movement.

The worst case scenario? You’ve spent a few hours having drinks with
interesting and enthusiastic people. Chances are you’ll walk away with a
lot more.

It is grassroots groups like Filipinos for Obama who are making the
difference in the 2008 election!

COST TO ATTEND: FREE — but a donation of $25 or more to the Obama
campaign when you RSVP or on the evening of the event, will enter you in
a raffle to win a signed copy of Senator Obama’s book “The Audacity of
Hope.” The drawing will take place at the event.

Please RSVP to the event. You’ve been invited to attend KICK OFF EVENT!
