The Asian Law Caucus, the oldest civil rights nonprofit serving the APA community, is looking for law students to get involve with our immigration clinics. Our advice/counsel clinic for immigration involves sitting down with a client to find out what kind of problem or question they have, getting the basic facts, talking it over with the attorney, and then relaying the advice to the client.  This immigration clinic is on the first and third Tuesday evening each month at the Asian Law Caucus office, 939 Market Street in San Francisco (2nd Floor).  Right next to the Powell Street BART, at 5th and Market.  It starts at 5:45pm, and runs until 7:30 or 8:00.  Next one will be September 2, and will be preceded by a training session starting at 3:30PM. Ability to speak Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, Vietnamese, or Cambodian (Khmer) is helpful, but not required.
